Acquisition of Schüco Automation Division

FlexLink acquires the Automation Division from the Schüco Group. The acquisition will be finalized in October 2010 and brings additional market and products to FlexLink and additional value the customers of acquired division.

FlexLink and the Schüco Group have agreed on that FlexLink is acquiring the Automation Division operations from Schüco. The agreement was signed on July 5 and the final take over will be due by the beginning of Q4, 2010.

The acquired division supplies comprehensive systems, assemblies and components for machine construction, enclosures and conveyor systems to markets in West and Central Europe. The division will continue its operations as an independent division of FlexLink Systems GmbH. The location will remain in Borgholzhausen, Germany.

By the acquisition FlexLink will access new customer groups and a high quality product range. At the same time, the new division and its customers will benefit from the competence and resources within the FlexLink Group.

Schüco is the world’s market leader in aluminum, steel, PVC-U and solar products for innovative building envelopes. The Schüco Group had a turnover of 2.000 M€ in 2009 and employ 4.775 persons world wide.
