In 2000, Bestfoods Poznan purchased a system for handling
instant bouillon packages. After the merger with the food group
Unilever, the co-operation with FlexLink has continued to develop
successfully. Today, FlexLink conveyors are not only used for the
bouillon packets, but also for cartons and cases with Goracy Kubek,
instant soup and spices sold under the established Knorr logo in
Poland. A solid basis for future co-operation
“The first installation provided the satisfactory implementation
standard that we consider appropriate as a basis for further
co-operation”, says Krzysztof Zielinski, Chief Engineer, Unilever
Bestfoods, Poznan. This has considerably simplified the designing
process of the two subsequent systems. Improved hygienic standards
The system is absolutely reliable, according to its users. The
solutions’ functionality and minimal floor space requirements
constitute important advantages for the production and packaging.
They also decrease the movement of pallets during production,
leading to improved hygienic standards, which is of particularly
importance in the food industry. Another important advantage is
that the preferred automatic labelling solution was perfectly
compatible with the conveyors. Attractive appearance and silent
operation
The users also noticed the attractive appearance and silent
operation of the system. The bouillon system works very well,
according to Mr Krzysztot Zielinski. “We have not encounter any
problems. Service of the system only covers maintenance and
exchange of wear parts.” Mutual trust developed during years of
co-operation
The co-operation between Unilever Bestfoods and FlexLink has
developed successfully, resulting in mutual trust. Lately a fourth
installation has been added into the constantly modernized plant,
which will always need a number of new transportation
solutions. |
