Diverting and merging
FlexLink offers a wide range of devices for diverting and merging. The diverters are operating vertically or horizontally and are used for distributing the requested amount of products to the down stream equipment and creating the most efficient line balance.
The horizontally operating diverters are designed to distribute products from one or two to several lanes. Products, like tissue rolls or similar, are gently held by choke belts and positively driven through the diverter for maximum reliability.
The diverters operate according to FlexLink's Dynamic Flow Concept and the distribution is made in a continous motion flow.
Each product is individually metered and the diverter creates the best possible line balance down stream. The dynamic operation enables close positioning to machines to be fed. It is easy adjustable for different product formats. It is equipped with stand alone controls panel and fully enclosed.
Diverter type DFC140: One to several lanes. Diverter type DFC240: Two to several lanes.
High capacity dynamic diverters DFC1800/2800
The horizontally operating diverters are designed to distribute larger products like bags and packs of tissue, or similar products from one to several lanes. They are also available with two lane in-feed and then used to balance the flow from two packaging machines feeding several lanes. Products are gently held by choke belts and positively driven through the diverter given highest possible reliability.
The diverters operate according to FlexLink's Dynamic Flow Concept and the distribution is made in a continous motion flow.

High capacity dynamic diverter DFC120V/1200V
The vertically operating diverter DFC120V is designed to distribute compact products like tissue from one to two lanes. For larger products such as wrapped tissue, type DFC1200V is used. The diverter is available in different configurations up to four to eight (e.g. one 4-lane machine feeding two 4-lane wrappers).

The horizontally operating diverter and balancer is designed to balance and distribute products from four to four lanes. Products, like tissue rolls or similar, are gently held by choke belts and positively driven through the diverter given the highest possible reliability.

The horizontally operating diverter is designed to distribute products from one to several lanes. Products, like tissue rolls or similar, are gently held by choke belts and positively driven through the diverter given highest possible reliability.

Mechanical combiner
Mechanical combiner, "Police unit"
The police unit is suitable for combining products on two lanes to one at a lower throughput rate. Using several units facilitates multiple lane merging.
The diverter is available in different sizes to accommodate applications for various product dimensions. The spring-loaded cam mechanism blocks one lane at a time without any need for controls, safety mechanisms or power supply.
Dynamic/pneumatic/choke belt combiners
Pneumatically driven combiner, DFC210P/420P
Pneumatically driven combiners for tissue rolls and similar products. Designed for combining products from two to one lane or from four to two lanes.
The combining operation is made with pneumatically operated stopping plates. Its high throughput is limited only by the conveyor speed driving the products through the equipment. The combiner is easily adjustable for different product sizes and equipped with a safety enclosure.
Choke belt combiners DFC210C/420C
Products, like tissue rolls or similar, are gently held by choke belts and positively driven through the combiner for maximum reliability. The choke belts enable back-log capability and the products can arrive in long slugs without affecting the functionality.
Choke belt combiners can be arranged in different configurations like two to one, four to one, etc.
The combiner meters products individually for best possible line balance and it is easily adjustable for different product sizes. It is equipped with a stand alone control panel and fully enclosed.
Dynamic combiner DFC210
This fully dynamic combiner is designed for light and fragile products with limited accumulation capability. Products are not stopped during the combining operation. Instead each product is metered and positioned to be safely combined by means of serial arranged belt conveyors.
The combiner does not require any changeover between product formats. No safety enclosure is needed, enabling very good access to the products. The combiner is equipped with a stand alone control panel.
