GKN demands machine builders to use FlexLink conveyor systems
Through the good experience of the FlexLink installations, GKN demands more often that their machine builders shall supply their machine tools equipment with FlexLink conveyors system. One example is the transports to, from and between the machines and also in the buffering. It is of special importance for GKN that the conveyor technique and the linking between machines and lines have a uniform system, for working environment safety reasons and from a visual point of view. 

Increased production achieved within a few weeks
In 1998, the AM-1 line for working of raw material at the Waldhof plant was completely changed within a few weeks and a new one was installed. Through the installation of new machines for the inner and outer working of cardan shafts, in combination with a new transport between machines and the modified conveyor line, an increase of production from 3300 to 4200 pieces per day (25%), was achieved.
