FlexLink in the UK has secured a major order from R.
Twining and Company Limited to supply six conveyor production lines
for tea box handling. Due to increased demand, the production
factory at Andover in the UK has been reorganised. As part of this
project, FlexLink has been selected to supply the conveyor lines.
The order value is £1,000,000. This order follows on from a conveyor system successfully
installed last year. “We are pleased to be working with FlexLink as
a key supplier and we are very satisfied with their products,
solutions and services," said Jim Sharp, Works Engineer at
Twinings’ Andover factory. Since 1706, Twinings has been at the forefront of the tea trade
– blending and innovating, improving the design and the packaging
and introducing new products and new ways of doing business.
Success in the competitive worldwide tea market was confirmed in
1972 (and again in 1977) when Twinings became the first tea company
to win a Queen’s Award for Export. “We are very pleased to receive this order which proves the
strength of our offer and technology. We are also very proud about
the confidence Twinings is showing us as a supplier. These
production lines are a very important part in achieving the
production efficiency at Twinings", said Fredrik Jonsson, CEO
