For the plant in Eslöv, Sweden, FlexLink designed a new conveyor layout using an alpine buffer integrating safe loweration, buffering without line pressure as well as line balancing. The solution works without additional drives and controls, operating within a very small factory floor footprint.  

Procordia Food is one of Sweden’s leading food companies with many well-known brands. It has 1800 employees and a turnover of 3,000 MSEK in 2001. 

New vegetable soup concept 
The installation is made for a new vegetable soups production line, which places frozen vegetables on top of the bowls with frozen soup. ”Important for the customer is the high capacity of the FlexLink installation, being able to safely bring down the soup from the high level freezer and simultaneously functioning as a buffer line”, says Sven Axman, Sales, FlexLink Systems. 

Two years without problems 
The latest FlexLink line handles seven different soups that are produced in the line. No adjustments are needed when changing line production with a maximum capacity of 40 bowls per minute. ”The installation has been running for two years without problems, says Sten Sjögren, Production Manager, Procordia, Eslöv.
