Still, in its infancy, the availability and technological advances of using a collaborative robot for material feeding at the beginning of a line is increasing.

Modern production facilities in a wide range of industries including food and dairy, personal healthcare and pharmaceutical are beginning to see the value of introducing collaborative material feeding robots and how they integrate with operators.

Used at the beginning of the production line, the material feeder picks products out of their stationery position and places them directly onto the conveyor or in the packaging machine. This reduces or even eliminates the need to manually unload products at the beginning of the production process.
